DIN 261 Hammerhead T Bolts for Largest Multimetal Recycling Plant in the USA
Brooks Forgings is a specialist producer of hot-forged hammerhead T-bolt solutions in the UK. We have an extensive range of tooling to produce various types, including DIN 7992, DIN 261, and SN425.
We can produce bolts up to M100 in size and 6 meters in length.
Recently, we were contacted about a new project in the United States, requiring the production of bespoke hammerhead T-bolts to meet specific requirements.
The project is for a company that specialises in processing metal concentrates and recycling materials, operating in over 20 countries. Their new facility, once completed, will house the largest multimetal recycling plant in the United States and will be the first to use a secondary smelter designed for multimetal recycling.
The production line at the plant required three diameter sizes, in various lengths, of our hammerhead T-bolts, specifically of the DIN 261 type:
- M48 x 1422mm (T385) – DIN 261 type – 50 QTY
- M48 x 1422mm (T500) – DIN 261 type – 40 QTY
- M36 x 1422mm (T385) – DIN 261 type – 52 QTY
- M36 x 1215mm (T500) – DIN 261 type – 20 QTY
- M36 x 1194mm (T385) – DIN 261 type – 14 QTY
The bolts were supplied in 070M20 grade material with a galvanised finish, packaged securely in custom-made wooden crates made of pressure-treated wood that complies with ISPM15 regulations.
