Our state-of-the-art, advanced pre-stressing and scragging machine allows us to offer a 100% onshore, integrated production and testing route for high-stress components up to 3 meters in length and 80mm diameter.
Pre-setting, professionally known as scragging, is a highly technical process critical for components subjected to extreme operational fatigue, such as tracked vehicle suspensions. The machine twists the steel past its elastic limit. This process traps permanent residual stress inside the metal, preventing immediate sagging and catastrophic failure in the field.
