Automated Robotic Upset Forging Line
We are pleased to announce that we have recently moved forward with the installation of a FANUC six-axis robot arm. The robot has been integrated with an automated bar feeder, induction heater, and an Etchells MultiForge machine, creating a fully automated horizontal upset forging production line.

Micro Percussion Marking Systems
Marking is achieved by electromechanically striking a carbide or diamond stylus assembly against the surface of the part to be marked. This process doesn’t remove material and cause stress points.
We have several Micro Percussion marking systems to cover a diverse range of requirements.

3D Printing Timelapse - Additive Manufacturing
3D printing enables the low-cost production of prototype parts with incredible accuracy.
The recent addition of a 3D printer and the latest QForm forging simulation software, working in unity with existing SolidWorks software, has the potential to transform the way the company does business in the early stages of product development.
A physical and dimensionally accurate component can be 3D printed and handed to the client, giving them the ability to finish machine and even implement into a sub-assembly for final suitability testing.

Hammerhead T Bolt Manufacturing
At Brooks Forgings Ltd we have the manufacturing capabilities to hot forge hammerhead bolts to DIN 186, DIN 188, DIN 261 and DIN 7992. Sizes up to M100 and lengths of 6000MM are achieveable.
-
Horizontal Counterblow Forging
Horizontal Impacter Forging is the latest addition to our manufacturing capability. A Model C Automated Impacter has been installed at our manufacturing site based in Stourbridge, increasing our capacity to 16 hot forging cells.
This process can achieve a more uniform product, using less energy compared to other forging processes. High volume, and consistent, production of excellent quality forgings with improved lead times.
-
Drop Forging
As part of our continued expansion, at our Stourbridge manufacturing site, we have acquired a Banning GOA 1250 Drop Hammer.
The hammer is positioned to take full advantage of a Radyne 450KVA induction heater combined with a fully automated hopper feed. This supplies the hammer operator with a constant and controlled supply of billets at optimal forging temperature. The overall process increases production and reduces costs.
-
Horizontal Multiforge - Upset Forging
The Multiforge is a unique concept with distinct advantage over conventional hot upsetting forging machines.
One of its main features is the departure from conventional vertical opposed gripping dies and the innovation of the horizontal disposition.
Not only is the weight eliminated but in addition the operator is working at a constant height. Without the need to raise and lower the component between die impressions, as the case on conventional vertical grip die machines.
The generous die width enables five forging stations to be set up in one tool assembly which can often eliminate secondary processing of certain components which require multiple operations.
-
Tosca Automated Shot Blaster
To help reduce costs and lead times we have installed a Tosca automated shot blast machine.
Designed to allow for high production levels, whilst maintaining low running costs, of small and medium sized items.
This, combined with our hand shot blast unit, means we should be able to handle over 40% of our shot blast requirements internally.
-
Hot Pressing
At Brooks Forgings Ltd we have the capacity to hot and cold bend various components to customers requirements.
-
FARO PowerGage
The fully portable FARO PowerGage was designed with the production floor in mind to speed through the toughest measurement challenges and produce the most accurate results available. Shop-hardened and temperature-compensated, the PowerGage allows anyone, anywhere to measure in 3D with previously unheard of precision.
-
Robot Welding
At Brooks Forgings Ltd we're constantly looking at ways to expand our manufacturing capabilities. With this in mind we have purchased several Panasonic Robot Welding cells to become a fundamental part of our fabrication facility.
